Toasted Bihon in Aligue Sauce

Instead of frying, toast your noodles for a change! This adds a delicious crunch to this heavenly dish.

INGREDIENTS

400g pancit bihon, soaked and divided into 4
oil for deep frying
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 ½ minced garlic
¼ cup finely chopped onion
1 roasted red bell pepper diced
½ cup crab meat
¼ cup taba ng talangka
¾ cup water
1 sachet MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cornstarch dispersed in 2 tbsp water
1 cup NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream 250ml
¼ cup toasted garlic

PROCEDURE

  1. Deep-fry bihon 1 batch at a time. Set aside on individual plates.
  2. Heat a different pan with combined cooking oil. Stir-fry garlic and onion until fragrant.
  3. Add roasted pepper, crab meat and taba ng talangka. Pour water. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, salt and pepper.
  4. Add slurry and wait until the sauce thickens.
  5. Pour NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream and remove from heat.
  6. Top each batch of fried bihon with sauce. Serve bihon on separate plate.
