Packed with muscle-building protein, this yummy dish is the classic breakfast of Filipino champions!

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes plus 1 hour to marinate beef

INGREDIENTS

For Beef Tapa:
1 kg beef tapa or beef strips
¼ cup chopped garlic
¼ cup vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
juice of 10 calamansi
½ cup brown sugar
cooking oil for frying

For Fried Rice:
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
3 cups loosely packed rice
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
fried egg

PROCEDURE

  1. To prepare for beef tapa: Marinate beef in garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, calamansi and brown sugar for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat cooking oil. Pan-fry marinated beef for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until brown. Transfer on a paper lined plate to drain excess oil. Set aside.
  3. To prepare for fried rice: Heat cooking oil. Stir in garlic and cook until brown. Stir in rice then season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP.
  4. To assemble, scoop a cup of prepared fried rice. Top with cooked tapa and fried egg before serving.
