GOOD TO KNOW

Bagoong alamang or shrimp paste is common in Filipino households. The shrimp is preserved using salt and is later on sautéed in onion and garlic for added flavor.

GOOD TO REMEMBER

When using bagoong alamang to season your dishes, remember that moderation is key. Try using herbs and spices to add flavor to your dishes instead of other condiments which are high in sodium.
